Shot over three dawn visits to the Point Reyes shoreline, Guiding Light follows the coastal path out to the lighthouse — a study in patience, salt air and the long walk toward something steady.

The Story
The final frame waited for a morning when low cloud thinned just enough to silhouette the tower. The figure in the foreground gives the vastness its scale: every epic landscape needs a human measure.
The Approach
We scouted the path at midday, marked tripod positions with GPS pins, then returned before sunrise on days the marine forecast promised broken cloud. The series was shot on a single 35mm lens to keep the perspective honest.
